hello friends. currently i am sitting on the wonderful boltbus from philadelphia to new york city for a few days off. it should be really fun, we’re going to see letterman, hit up a yankees game, and just kinda hang out. it’ll be sweet. last night jon and i were in the back lounge of our bus geeking out with the various twitters and facebooks of the world, and i found a couple shots i took of jon a few months ago. they look awesome, so i thought i’d post em up. cheers.

hey guys.  i’m currently on tour with switchfoot.  it’s amazing as usual.  today we are in louisiana at a casino where the stage is next to a pool surrounded by a lazy river.  no joke.  so, i’ve been making these little videos from each day we’re been on tour. here’s a couple.

hello blogees. some friends in relient k played out the glass house the other day. such good memories from going to shows out there through high school and college (although my biggest concert regret was not seeing sunny day real estate there. sad day.)

well, since i have posted here last, i have flown to miami, boarded a boat with 2000 crazy new kids on the block fans, taken a picture of every single one of them with the band, flown home, watched some laker basketball, saw jack mcbrayer and tony hale at the same place, worked a bunch on the new switchfoot album artwork, and last night i saw one of my favorite bands at one of my favorite venues. manchester orchestra played over at the troubadour last night, and it seriously was an awesome show. they bring it hard, and even do impromptu kanye west covers mid-set. go buy their new record asap. here’s a couple from last night, but i posted more up in the music section. menu->photography->music->manchester orchestra. cheers.

hello hello. things are busy over here at andy barron headquarters (aka my apartment). there are more switchfoot photos than i know what to do with, and i got the print outs to prove it. last weekends shoot went swimmingly and the guys are really happy with how they all turned out.

so yeah, the boat thing. well, thanks to my dear friend janelle, i am going on a cruise to the bahamas shooting photos for new kids on the block. i know, it’s gonna be crazy. poseidon, look at me.

so i recently got new fuji instax camera. it’s the new widescreen polaroid. here’s a few winners i took with it. enjoy!

hello blog readers. this past weekend was crazy. friday i went out to coachella and shot. it was surpsingly nice weather, and i got to watch a beatle play (but not shoot photos of him, unfortunately). the shots from coachella or of these bands, in order: the airborne toxic event, the hold steady, the black keys, conor oberst, stage right crowd, biggest jungle gym ever, leonard cohen (amazing), and morrissey. it was a fun day.

then saturday night was totally different. new kids on the block at the palladium. it was 30 year old women (and me and josh) screaming their (our) lungs out and singing ‘please don’t go girl’. it was pretty amazing.

finally, monday night, hillsong united played at the nokia theatre la live downtown. it was my first time to this venue, and it was pretty epic. it was so good to see joel and brooke and scott and all the hillsong crew. i’ve had the chance to see them a few times now (more times in aus/nz than in america, which is weird) and every time is seriously a special special night.

i know that’s a lot of photos. but, it was a long weekend. i have a shoot next week with the switchfoot guys for their new record. i’m really excited about this one. if you’ve read this far, at least leave a comment!

so tomorrow i am going to coachella (only friday).  i get to see some friends, and watch a beatle play.  i’m pretty excited about that.  the next day i (hopefully) will be shooting at the new kids on the block show at the palladium, and then monday i’m shooting at hillsong united’s worship night at the nokia theatre.  my camera is earning its dues this weekend.  i’ll post some shots after it’s all said and done.

hope all your tax days were as surprisingly awesome as mine was.  i’m heading out to the foot’s studio here in a few.  their new stuff seriously sounds so great.  can’t wait to get started working on what it will look like when you hold it in your hands.  cheers.

tonight is the last night of the dan miles tour that I am playing bass on. it has been a treat, but I am looking forward to my bed. I’m posting this from my phone in the bar here in Fresno.
